June 9th

Jeeeez guys, Costa Rica vs. Turkey in the World Cup that day – you do pick 'em.

But I'll still be there all being well!

1) Idea Leave the kids and bring the missus?

2) Idea Leave the missus and bring the kid(s)?

3) Idea Come on me own?!

Well one of 'em

Mikey... in case it hasn't quite sunk in yet, you bought a Chimaera. One kid is fine, two kids are a no-no. Unless one's going on the boot, that is.

9th. June it is, then. Get it in your diaries!!

Ted, you'd better amend your calendar of events. Are you coming too, I know it's a long way, but sheesh, it's all your fault!!

Already amended. I will try to make it, depending on other commitments.

Oooh nice one,

Here I was looking forward to a meet just up the road from me (errr, -ish!) hoping nobody would mind me turning up in whatever pile of crap was still vagely roadworthy that particular weekend...

And you go and arrange it for the day of my Fiancee's birthday ya gits!

With a years notice I might have been able to build up enough brownie points... but only 2 months?

Then again - it could just start out as finding a nice little place to have Sunday lunch in Derbyshire, and then "oh look at all those TVRs over there, mind if we just have a quick look..."

Hmmmm, a plan forms

Cheers, Phil

Excellent , that's the general idea, especially if it's a nice sunny day

Dont drive through Matlock on the way there - whenever I have driven a TVR to Matlock I have had loads of abuse from local youths! Go in a Vauxhall with wide wheels instead and wheel spin at every junction.

That's unusual - Matlock is the place where any Northern biker worth his ready rub goes for a Sunday jolly. Bikers love TVR's, and they'd love to see a convoy, or even 2 or 3, rumbling through. It's worth passing through just to see the number of bikes you can cram into one little town!!

Agreed. Matlock on a summer weekend is bikerville. Stayed in the area a few times and enjoyed many a chat with bikers - they even moved their bikes up once so I could squeeze the TVR in (then I worried them by using the old shop window view parking trick). Nice roads for a blast if you're out early. Just make sure you take your radar detector, PC Copper is out to get the bikers due to so many bike speeding related incidents.

I'll try to make this meet too.

Nice choice 'cos the wekend before is a 4 day holiday so everyone can either polish their cars or earn some brownie points by doing the family thing! R...

So do we get 3rd and 4th June off at the expense of the second May Bank Holiday? I still haven't got this straight and nobody else seems to know.

Anyone know the facts?

9th of June doesn't clash with any Bike meets for me and therefor I'm up for a blat to Chatsworth.

Are we talking a 'convoy' from London !! I know of at least 2 other cars which will be up for it aswell.

Cheers

C W McCall was the artist I believe.

"Well we laid a strip for the Chatsworth park and prepared to cross the line,
I could see the bridge was lined with bears, but I didn't have a doggone dime.
I said Pig Pen this heres the Rubber Duck, we just aint gonna pay no toll, so we crashed the gates doing 98, I said let them Tivvers roll, 10 4!"

Just in case Chatsworth want to charge us for parking...

We could even do the "plastic chicken to super scouser, come on!" version if you like.

Is it time for me to get me coat yet?
