I know which would attract the most attention, and be the more thrilling drive.

Thats brilliant, can imagine some sut left on the orange sag the other side lol, how was the performance of you sag when matched to power cars?
Hi I do not want to start a piXXXXX comp with the Power cars, Dom is a mate and I had to go and see him before I did it as I wanted his blessing!

I am not the greatest of drivers which is not good when you have this amount of power but what I can say is I did get the fastest lap at Zolder and I was held up a long time on my lap as I have a recovery truck in my way on the apex of the longest corner on the track.

The orange car is Grahams and of course it was doing the same on the other side, we did it again later but had to think about his car.
Good result with your lap time then! I was just interested to see how they compared in terms of balance/drivability on track.

There is no doubt in my mind that a power engine car is fantastically quick but i’m intrigued into how much faster a sagaris could go before it becomes too fast/extreme to handle consistently. Will be interesting to see how they compare at other circuits too.
Do you run wider tires now at the rear for more grip? I can imagine a torque V8 just spinning them up so easy on exit.

Pauls car wil be huge fun, but ultimately a potential handful due to lack of rubber. His car is still in the development phase, but a fairly standard (short diff, 888s) a factory engined car with fuel surge problems and in traffic has lapped lap Zolder in the 1 min 51s with the feeling that it would easily dip under 1 min 50 on clear track with the fuel supply uninterupted. Paul was blocked (difficult to judge the impact) on his fastest lap and his time was in the 1 min 56.5/6s from memory.

Is that a car comparison or a driver comparison? My thoughts are around somehwere like Zolder lap times will be very close with the same driver.

It's pointless judging how quick a car is with different drivers behind the wheel, driver input/track knowledge has far more bearing than what engine/spec the car has.

That was my part of my point Mark.

Yes I was agreeing with you John,

and why you get post such as my EVO is quicker than a Sagaris, though that's mostly down to driver aids and not driver input.

Hello,

My Sag will easily go under 1:50 around Zolder even with me driving. Just need to make sure the drive shafts are sorted so I am not worried about snapping them, the Sag was not that much of a handful as I am very conscious of this issue. As John said it is still under development, it has a 3.08 diff on it at the moment, it could do with being even longer but I am not sure how much difference that would make on a track like Zolder but it would on other tracks.

I would say Graham V is a better driver than me but I know my car with even me in the driving seat will be quicker car and that is down to the car not me. Zolder I think this year was a bit hot in comparison to others from what I have been told? I left the hotel at 5:30 am the next morning and it was nice to have the performance back with the cool air.

The big problem with the car as a lot of you know was my gear stick - we had problems with it the day before and thankfully after a lot of effort from the TVR drivers it was fixed but it left me with a nut on one side which gave me problems getting the car in to third so I drove the whole lap in third in case I would not be able to get it back in again quickly. There are two places I would have liked second. (still go the problem but need some brakes to get it to topcats for a fix)

I am in the middle of sorting the brakes at the moment and this will make a great difference, when the Topcats team and me took the car to silverstone we totally ran out of brakes so I was worried all day at Zolder until my last lap about cooking them. I will post a pic of the disc when I have a moment - I was right to worry.

Hi Dom,

Thanks mate, as we have talked about many times they are different solutions to the problem and different markets. Your S6 conversions are great, you don't need to turbo charge it - it is quick enough as it is and right for the a very large chunk of the market needing something.

See you soon.

Is it a lot quicker than your 4.5 Dom? I've been lucky enough to go round Spa in a LS7 Vette and that was very quick (170mph up Kemmel), it must be seriously rapid that engine in the lighter Sagaris.

Mark,

Dom, Topcats and me are not interested in a pissing contest as we all know each other well. As Dom says it is quick - he saw how quick it was on Sunday but as I said they are different engines and different markets, kemmel and 170 MPH is not a problem in my Sag. What Dom sells is great value for money and good performance over standard.

hehe

whose talking about a pissing contest, I would expect the LS7 to be quicker than the 4.5 S6 as it does cost twice as much, just was wondering how much quicker it is

Please do not think the car in the ad is the car detailed on this thread!

Yes they were meant to drive it but could not arrange it due to diarys over the back end of this year. We will arrange it for next year when the salt is gone. EVO have driven it though and a Video etc will go up at some point.

If you tear the heart out of a car and put a foreign engine in it's place sadly it's no longer a TVR and one less to be kept for the future. Shame.
