Also just updated the Griffith SE numbers to the actual production number suggested to me by an ex-worker to illustrate the point, even cars with numbers aren't as they seem confused
Hmmm. I've heard that before - that they sold so well at the very end that the factory built a few more but if true how did they get round the numbering individual models?

Wasn't there two or three Griffith 5 litre BV pre-cats built to special order?

That's new one to me. There is a prototype one that a PH owns. (BTW all 5.0 are BV.)

Previously mentioned here:

The reason I ask is that during a recent search of TVR Power's build sheets records for a couple of 5 litre pre-cats surfaced:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

So where there's one could there be two?

from this topic, if you look in the book of volume 1 grantura to taimar, you see in the back many TVR's with year and numbers, don't know if they right but if so some must be changed on the list to get some numbers more correct.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

also mentioned in those books volume 1 and 2 are the RHD and LHD numbers also the years etc, also you could make that lovely list longer, say for example the Tuscan V8
in the book it says>

Tuscan V8 = 28 = 4 RHD and 24 LHD all built in 1967
Tuscan V8 lwb = 24 = 12 each, RHD and LHD in 1967 and 1968
Tuscan V8 wide body = 21 = all but two with LHD, built 1968 to 1970

and of course many many more, those go to in 1993 (older books) but can make a nice more completed list.

oh, and there is also the one and only Boss Cerbera with some special goodies/looks and engine.

Tasmin Turbo 1 LHD doesn't sound right. IIRC Chris's motor show model is RHD and if you count the black DHC one as well I think that that's also RHD.

Tasmin Turbo?
I did not go in that era, went till the oldies, but now I have the more modern book and see no Tasmin Turbo named by the Production and deliveries in the book.

But in that book is a long list from Tasmin S1 to Chimaera with numbers, maybe I post those too and or adjust numbers that are not correct?
If I do then I will mention it here when done, more then 21 different types.

ow...the book talks indeed also about Chimaera and Griffith, but...the book came out in 1993 so no full list from cars still made till then.

so, I made it from Tasmin S1 to 450 seac cars made to the end of 1992, cars still made also in 1993 and after are not complete, but a lot more info now in the list>>

edit: also fix-t 3 that I added earlier, but were without the surroundings/field, I could copy paste other stripes/field, so filled it in again and now its ok.

I met a South African many years ago who claimed to have a 280i Turbo which was produced by the factory turbocharged for the South African market. He had photos of the car, which looked like a regular 280i convertible.

Debateable but I'd say no, they don't count because they didn't enter production whereas the Typhon/440 did. (Although that argument may not hold for the Tasmin Turbo)

No, they shouldn't be on the list because they weren't factory cars.
