Didn't realise the two things were mutually exclusive ; )

I think it would be sensible to have both hands on the wheel while driving.

Much to my embarrassment, they're not. I never even wash the daily drivers, yet feel a strange compulsion to wash, rinse, dry and polish the TVR. I am now on gaffer tape glue and stone chip removal duties before going to a BBQ at my TVR specialist's house on Saturday evening and Porsche Sunday Service on.....scratchchin......Sunday.

No, its just the number of people who spend a fortune upgrading everything in sight, yet never take their P&J legally over 70mph. I am seriously baffled. I got some truly shocked responses when i told a few TVR owners that i was taking it on a TRACK eek

BTW, I was doing about 130 down the main runway in that clip, its the lack of hedgerow or armco flying past that makes it look slow. Next lap I was overtaken by a BMW M5 doing 184......good on him, using the car for what it was made. And much to my surprise, the Jaguar test driver who took my car out later that afternoon was pleasantly surprised how well set up the car was. And its a totally standard 400, just on second hand Paradas at £40 a tyre for a bit more grip.

Fair comment, but I was only doing about 130 on a fairly empty runway - car was beautifully stable. I did use two hands on the bends (except when changing gear in a corner, but I have already apologised for that!!)

Sarcasm detector...was it not being suggested that one should not drive and polish ones car at the same time....

Polishing one's pride and joy tends to mean something else round here. smile

Beautiful photo. Beautiful car. I wouldn't be surprised to see that picture in next years Countryfile Calendar. It is a beast in the country after all.

Good on both of you, including posting going straight on at the top of the hill. clap Nice to see the cars being used properly, not just polished. And sorry, I just failed to get the one handed joke until it was pointed out, especially as I have referred to some of the polishers as one handed drivers before myself.....laugh
