I was fine apart from a 127 heart rate in the ambulance and suffering a rather dodgy stomach later. The car has a bruise under the front and ripped the radiator mounts off but raced again the next day

Turns out that the alternator tensioner lock nut vibrated loose, shedding the belt and in turn rubbed by one of the pulleys produced the smoke in the cockpit. I should have realised it was not an acrid smell of an electrical fire rather a rubber smell with all the smoke. Oh well that's racing

Wirelocking the tensioner nuts will prevent a recurrence of that.
Just a thought.

Jon you make me look very good in them pic's you have a real talent. Will you call in to the pit next time your there say hello. Debs says the kettle is always on. I love these none posed pictures they capture the race day excellently. Have you seen the ones on the CCRC face book page at scrutineering I don't look much better at 7.15 in the morning ,
