In my time as editor, to get the best chance of having your car chosen for Picture This all you had to do was have some disc pad dust down the car's flanks. All I seemed to get were ultra clean cars straight back from polishing.

A car should be used and should show it. There was one chap who submitted a picture of a car at the top of an Italian mountain. He'd obviously gone over the car with a leather to get it looking pristine. Seemed a bit odd to me.

Agreed..looks properly used.

Took mine out Sunday too but it was dark when I got back so no photo..did have to stop to clean my lights so I could see a couple of times that day. Now all cleaned up as I wanted to stop my alloys corroding (already started after 24 hours) and clean the inside of the windscreen...it gets salt on it when you drive with the top down you know...


..Just remember to clean it underneath before the salt munches through the chassis..
