Found a seat belt cover (I think) stuck onto a piece of machinery in a quarry near Guilford, belongs to a cerb owner apparently. Can't get much more random than that...

That's mine biggrinclap
Nice spot !!

You must have delivered some cement for me .
Yeah, I spent 15 minutes with one of the drivers trying to guess what car you had.

Is it a v8?
Does it have a roof?
How many seats? hehe

If my memory serves me right these were the Barnet Motor Co. racing colours.
Suit the car so well, Gerry would have been proud. One of the most frightening drives of my life was in a MK1 Cortina GT up the high street with Gerry calmly winding through the traffic with just one hand on the wheel, I was very pale!
Thats an interesting factoid. Cheers. I know Martin Lilley liked Regal red and Silver on his Tuscan, I haven't seen any colour photos of MMT. This one is painted GTS red with moon dust silver. I wanted a more Burgundy shade compared to a vibrant red. I think it looks more period.
I race a Griffy 400. I chose this car entirely because of Gerry. Always was and always will be my hero.
N.
A much unsung name in the history of TVR. He probably did more to keep it going at times than ML or PW.

Bought his Griff while getting drunk at my sister's wedding and have numerous experiences over the years of driving lessons, wild tales and long days in pubs. Very sadly missed. My father was with him when he drove his first racing car and was with him at Silverstone in the Camaro. A genuine legend.

All of that ultimately led to this last weekend:

Nice snaps smile
