Why so secretive?

Just wanted to know why the dates for vmax events are so secretive and essentially end up invite only?
I'm sure nothing illegal is happening. So just want to know why dates aren't made public?

Its an event not a public outing... if made public would the public not want to turn up and watch?

Its a groups of individuals that go out to have a blat round a location, see who is fastest, see who is slowest, etc...

Why do the public need to know about it?

Not being harsh or anything but would have thought that that was common sense... plus the NIMBYs can't complain about it before hand.

Fair enough. Wouldn't have thought public could stroll in and just watch surely an entrance procedure is in place to prevent this. Only reason I raise it is that it's so difficult to work out when the events are. And having never been I would love to go!

Hi, had missed this thread.

A number of reasons, security, privacy for vmaxxers and also yes, the public do sometimes try to show up, they don't get in but it means some minimal distractions.

Works well as is but equally I try to give everybody a fair shot and it's not invite only, hope this helps make it a bit more clear, mail me matey, cheers.
