In an effort to get my car through it's MOT I've done quite a bit of work to the front axel's of my Citroen C2. On dismantling the suspension I've realised the shocks are damaged and need replacing.

I've seen a set of Bilstein front coilovers advertised locally, sadly only the fronts are available.

What would be the issue with just replacing the front and leaving the rears for another time?

The car is intended to be a project / track day car but I need an MOT for it first.

Thanks, Matt

As long as the damping is still decent, it should be ok. Obviously it won't be matched, so you will change the balance of the car. If the front springs are stiffer, you will, in theory anyway, get more understeer. You will also probably get pitchy ride.

Fit and take it easy, you will be fine.
Fit and think your car is now 50% sorted and you might get in trouble.
