New aftermarket master cylinder vs OEM rebuild kit
Discussion
If given a choice which would people go for?
Scenario: OEM master cylinder is no longer in production. OEM rebuild kit is £110. Aftermarket master cylinder is only available in Australia! Yes I've searched high an low. With import tax and carriage it's £135 from Australia, plus hassle.
What if the cylinder on the original master cylinder is worn? The rebuild kit won't help with that, or do the cylinders not wear on these things? The original master cylinder has seen over 140'000 miles on a little Vitara. Not sure which option to go for.

It's possible that there is some wear in the orig cyl 90% of the time new seals will cure any probs but they have been known to fail quickly . There is a company out there that wll resleeve cylinders with a stainless sleeve which does cure any probspossibly permanantly try some google moves .
