am trying to replace the brake lines on my car at the moment.

Have a decent draper flanging tool for the brake unions, which works really well on copper, but when I try on Kunifer the end of the flange just splits.

Any idea on how to deal with this?

Either you're doing it wrong, or you need a better tool.

Post a picture of what's happening

Are you making Stage 1 flares i.e domed flares, or Stage 2 i.e countersunk flare. If making stage 2 then you need to make a stage 1 first then convert to stage 2, if you just try to go straight to a stage 2 it will just split the pipe.

Looks like you're being much too heavy handed with the flare. Too much pipe sticking out

You need to make the bubble flare first then use the female die to invert it, it looks like you've done just a single thickness there unless it's just the photo?
If that's the case of course, then your old copper flares need scrapping too.

That there is your problem and should have been mentioned in the first post. If he doesn't have them then search online, without them (as proven) you will have no idea.
