Ldv maxus

Hello I just bought a 2007 ldv maxus it has had a new clutch fitted but now has no 5th gear or reverse gear, does anyone know if there is any common faults that could cause loss of gears??? Thanks!

check your gearcables for the full range of movement, the heater drain tube comes out of its retainer and jams the cable shift mechanism... the drain pipe should be held by a round retainer on the lower bulkhead but if its broken then wedge the plastic tube behind the gearbox mount until it can be fixed back properly!
