Hey, anyone have any knowledge of the Chebyshev linkage for suspension? It's similar to a watts linkage but with no curving out at the extremes. So does anyone know of anyone who's used it on their car?

I can't see a Chebyshev linkage being useful for axle location. The two chassis mounting points have to be above and below the pivot on the axle, and both have to be on the same side, all of which are likely cause practical difficulties.

Even if you overcome them, I can't see it giving any usable advantage over a Watts linkage unless you have something with enormous suspension travel (in which case ground clearance for the lower chassis mount is likely to be problematic).
