Hello there! I couldn't find anywhere to introduce myself so I thought I would do it on my first post. Im Dale, i've currently got a Daytona 675 and im wanting a little bit of technical advice if possible.. Im wanting to improve the performance on my front end and im not sure what would be the best thing for it, a re-valve, new springs etc? It would really help if you could throw some ideas at me to look into..Thanks..Dale.

Do you have a specific issue with the performance of the forks? Changing the springs can make a big difference if you are lighter or heavier than average.

Well i thought about a refresh and then a friend suggested changing the fork oil but i was advised by a local bike shop that thicker oil wasn't the way forward and that I would need a re-valve. Having looking around the internet these people offer a K-Tech piston kit - http://www.brooksuspension.co.uk/triumph-daytona-6...
wondered if it was worth the money as it seems to be a fairly complete package including springs, oil, compression adjusters etc. What do you think?

Oil is cheap, mess around with oil first.

I run thick oil in my bike as I'm on the large side, the springing is ok the damping wasn't. Thicker oil and its transformed.

Is this assuming you have it set for sag etc? Have you progressive or linear springs? If progressive, then maybe change to linear, and change the oil perhaps, but with the correct OE spec initially. The level of oil makes a difference apparently, or air gap, but much depends on how much travel you use already, and the sag values if yet looked at, which is where to start if not already.
