TF should he have to post a picture to prove he's got them any more than you should post one to show you've not got them?

It might be difficult for the driving gods and superiority complexes on this thread to understand but there must be a growing number of people with Davanti tyres, the overwhelming majority of whom will be quite happy with them. Because your average Joe doesn't notice any difference in tyres. And if (as the reports so far say) they are comparable with decent brands why would they?

Looking at their FB they seem to be positioning themselves at the premium market. Doing a giveaway too (but it does mean liking the page!). https://www.facebook.com/davantityres/
I couldn't care less what he does but I'm sure there are plenty here that will think it's all part of the conspiracy.

As I've said numerous times. Until there is an independent test carried out I will not be considering buying them.

Not in any ditches yet smile ....Had the tyres on a few weeks now and so far so good.

I'm happy with the way the car is handling in the dry & wet and especially how the car rides, much better than the Goodyear Excellence RF's I had on before.

30 pages about some guy putting maybe or maybe not ditchfinders on his car? wow

Anyway, here is my jerry can of gasoline to pour on the fire:

Just had 4 x Capitol Eco 007 tyres. £50 a corner. Cheap as chips. Are they st? Errr no actually. So far they've been better and quieter than the Yokohama's that they replaced. Time will tell how long they last though, my S60 is a heavy bugger and it scrubbed through the Yoko's in about 8,000 miles on the front. I did however destroy some of them in a huge pot hole before they became illegal and I've made one of my wheels square as well. Happy days.

Capitol Tyres- better than premium brand tyres with below legal tread!

I should work in marketing.

Yokohama tyres are garbage for the most part IME.

I had a set fitted on my 04 Mini Cooper S in August last year as i was intending on selling the car but, after 6 months and nearly 4000 miles i cant fault them.
They have had plenty of abuse and are very well scrubbed in, and not once have i thought i wish id bought the Bridgestone's again.
This is getting awkward now.

Just spotted this.

I know technodup's opinion on this matter because he spelled it out in his next post, so that must make you incredibly illiterate?

One of the issues is people compare their new cheap tyres with their old, worn out past the limit premiums. Not really a fair comparison is it?

What surprises me is how little difference in price there is between well established mid range brands and unknown budget brands / ditch finders.

Says the man that took two weeks to read a single sentence rofl

My comment had absolutely nothing to do with technodup's post BTW, just the irony of you accusing everyone of being close minded when there have been no proper tests or reviews published on these (expensive) budget tyres. Thousands of people drive around on utterly st tyres and think they are fine because they don't know any better, so some random person saying they are great is completely and utterly meaningless. I'll accept I'm closed minded if you accept your views are naive.

Hi. I have used many tyres over the years (remolds/used/cheap/midrange/toprange) on a host of vehicles between 150 to 250bhp.

My current car is a remapped Astra 1.9 16v CDTI Sporthatch, and although I don't drive like a lunatic anymore, it still is very prone to very bad under-steering. So when the terrible Avon ZZ5s needed changing I decided to go for some cheapies and the tyre shop recommended Davani 640s (235/35/19)

To be honest I was highly suspicious of the reviews on their website (Apparently you only get 2 weeks from purchase to write a review, which really isn't long enough to form an opinion) but the tyre fitter convinced me to give them a go. At £78 they aren't the cheapest of the cheapies, but the ZZ5s were quite a bit more and they were crap.

Anyway I've only done a few hundred miles on them but the feedback is a hell of a lot better than the ZZ5s.

One thing that does worry me though is It's 420 treadwear! As is 140 higher than any tyre I've ever ran (& hence will wear out quicker than any tyre of ever ran)

Is the feedback telling you "I have lots of understeer"?

New poster bumps old thread praising a new product....... on a thread where the OP was quite suspicious to start off with. Really?
I didn't fit them but my car has Avon ZV5s and they seem pretty decent to me, but then they are newish not worn at the end of their life.

A quick look suggests you could have got a selection of known mid range brands for around £100 fully fitted or around £85 unfitted (e.g. Avon, Kumho, Firestone, Nexen, etc).

I'm not totally adverse to budget tyres but I'm not convinced £78 really represents great value for an unproven Davanti tyre when know midrange brands are only £10 more expensive and other unknown ditch finders can be had for £30 less.

Can't remember which game it was but I saw Davanti advertising all over the trackside hoardings recently, might have been Everton-Chelsea in the cup.

So that's another few hundreds of thousands at least going to recognise the name when in the tyre shop. And then equating their big spend on advertising with being a quality product/established brand.

It's all in the eye of the beholder.
