Brake hose/pipe question.
Discussion
If any brake pipe or hose (I will not refer to them as 'lines' as this trend for americanisms by british people when posting online makes me want to )has a larger internal bore than the others is this likely to affect pedal/lever travel and brake performance?
I have just connected two brake hoses on my bike with a double ended male connector which although only about an inch and a half long it has a larger bore than the other hoses in the system

No, it won't have any effect at all. To move the wheel cylinders a given amount you need to move a certain volume of fluid in the master cylinder; the volume of fluid in between has no bearing on that & in any case once you've taken up the very small clearance in the system brake performance relies on pressure, not movement.

No, the lines won't make any difference to that...stock or otherwise...I have just connected two brake hoses on my bike with a double ended male connector which although only about an inch and a half long it has a larger bore than the other hoses in the system
