Not looking for ditch finders - want to keep my warranty and need star marked tyres to do so. There are a select few tyres for our car and we are trying to keep to the same brand. They are Bridgestone Dueler H/P RFT Star Marked - 315/35/R20 tyres.Stormfly1985 said:
Mytyres have Vredesteins for £210 fitted or Falkens for £186. If you want premium brands you are paying £270+ wherever you go. Quite why an X5 needs such rediculous size tyres is another question.
Think its down to it being 20" rims that are staggered (for 50:50 weight balance), it being a 315hp car that can go to 150+mph, even though it is 2.2tonnes! Quality tyres are needed for these cars to be at their best.Edited by rayyan171 on Friday 2nd June 20:30
Am sure you know but the transfer boxes can be sensitive to tyres (hence why starred tyres are needed to maintain warranty ie non starred tyres cause issues).
If the other 3 are worn I'd bite the bullet and renew the lot as tread needs to be largely consistent for rolling radius consistency.

Who the hell decided that was in any way a sensible tyre size for a 4x4?rayyan171 said:

Edited to say these came from a local indy tyre dealer at £150 per corner. I could have shaved a few quid off but not a lot.
