Hi everyone,

I've set up a custom brake system on my Toyota, front and rear brakes are both Front calipers so they have no built in handbrake system.

I want to use motor bike sized calipers that sit on the rear or front discs, running on a seperate hydraulic system to work as the handbrake. However I'm having trouble finding a caliper wide enough to fit over 24mm wide discs, any ideas anyone?

(Before anyone mentions it, Mot is not an issue and I do not need a cable handbrake)!

Thanks

Unfortunately, you can't pass an mot in the UK with a solely hydraulic handbrake.

Like I said, MOT is not an issue. it's a track car.
Now Any ideas?

Just read up about line lock, it's a good idea. Although I wasn't planning on interfering with the current brake setup. however I could tap into the front calipers so I can do some burnouts along with having a handbrake

If it's a track car do you really need a handbrake? I never bother with mine.

I assumed maybe OP was a drifter or maybe autotests, rallycross etc therefore might need a handbrake? Although now he's said he'd put a line lock on the front I'm at a loss... as you say a handbrake isn't much use on a circuit car.
