To much of the general public saving money on having the cheapest LingLongs fitted is more important than a scraped wheel, burst undertray and crushed sill.
Problem I've got it the 1st owners speccd the car to over 45k so it has the rare, optional 245/45/19 wheels ..so premium tyres are a fking fortune!!
It's a ford galaxy family bus though, it doesn't do spirited driving, ever.
I tried everywhere to get some tyres at a reasonabt cost and for whatever reason Halfords are about 100 cheaper than anywhere else was???
Let's see how they get on.

I'd expect them to make good on the undertray, the pressure and valve cap I wouldn't be as concerned about.
Out of interest, have you checked that the wheel bolts are at an appropriate torque?
Golf as other VAG quote wheel bolt torque in NM. I've had one occasion where a tyre place mixed up LB/FT and NM and torqued to 120LB/FT rather than NM. Out of interest, have you checked that the wheel bolts are at an appropriate torque?

You can't change your mind and wish you had bought better tyres when you're having a crash! Considering it is the family bus which carries your most important people, is saving 100 top priority?
I didn't make that very clear. To get a midrange set fitted...plus 4 wheel alignment (the rear nearside is bald on the outer edge) is £100 cheaper at Halfords. To get something like a Bridgestone, Micheline etc is am additional £400.....that's a massive difference.I'll update tomorrow with a report on any damage caused and of course if I end up in a hedge.

Crikey me I’m surprised they haven’t outlawed cheap tyres for all the massive smash ups and deaths they are causing.

I knew you were waiting for a chance to make a pun! Hopefully the company will heal the pain without the OP having to take them outside.
I gave you my car
The very next day,
Broke the under tray

If was just him on the road all on his own then his chouce but unfortunately there are other road users out there causing all sorts of chaos and choosing a better tyre may be the difference between avoiding someone elses chaos and being wrapped up in their accident.
It is not always about driving fast but when you grow up you might realise that.

Note. I said "cheap" tyres, not just tyres, as you can have the most expensive ones in the world, but if they are bald or underinflated they can be worse than a "cheap" tyre.

My mate has a merc c class with them and does 20k+ per year in his job. Exact same ones I'm getting. He has had no problems.
In laws have then on their 20plate ford fiesta, I've driven that thing on its door handles. No problems.
You may be correct, you may not be correct. For a saving of circa 400 over a set of 4 I'll take a chance.
It has occured to me to ditch the wheels for a slightly smaller set though, may improve the ride as well as make tyres cheaper. They do look nice though, and it would devalue the car.
Could you just keep the 19s and put them back on when you sell the car? The savings on tyres alone might cover the cost of the smaller wheels (which you can then sell on again when you sell the car)In laws have then on their 20plate ford fiesta, I've driven that thing on its door handles. I am bit undecided on cheap tyres, I bought a set of Avons last time and although they felt fine they all have severe cracking around the circumference of the tyre after 3 years. They were not really budget, but I could have got Bridgestone, UniRoyal or Kumho for the same price.
In a 205/55/16 which is a very common tyre size, a Bridgestone is £67.99, and the cheapest tyre is a Waterfall at £54.50
Not really worth it to save £13.49 a tyre.

My cousin had a new pair of Landsails fitted to a Megane she bought 12 months ago. Bear in mind this is someone who’s a complete non-petrolhead and drives very sedately. Took a look at them for her the other day, barely legal. We looked at the previous MOT to see how many miles they’d managed - 6k!! You may save money now but you’ll be paying out again sooner than you think! Rainsport 5s are around 35/tyre more expensive than the Landsails and not only will they last longer, the performance will be night and day, especially in the wet.
Only £16 of a difference from Camskill - £111 vs £95.If you want them fully fitted, National are doing them for £138.99, so about £100 more in total than the Landsails
For an alternative, ATS are flogging Avon ZX7s for £142, but with a £16/corner discount code, so £126.

Because your families safety is important?
Based on the size I'm going to assume LS 588 as that appears to be the only tyre Landsail do in that size.
https://www.tyrereviews.com/Article/2021-UUHP-Summ...
Wet braking over TWICE the distance from 100KMH to 0
Winning tyre - Bridgestone - 41m
Losing tyre - Landsail - 82.7m
If you care for you family in any way please re consider.
Appears the Falken FK510 may be a suitable budget tyre that's not a death trap

Even better then! I was just looking at Tyreleader to get an idea. It’s a complete no-brainer really. I appreciate the Rainsport 5s aren’t the pinnacle of tyres but under wet braking you’ll be glad of the small extra outlay. Too late...they're on now. No discernible difference from the Bridgestones that they replaced. Honestly Chaps, get a bit of a grip.
I'm happy to eat my words if it all goes to st and it was landsails fault. Until then...chill the fuxn out!
And Halfords didn't fux my car or wheels up.
And I really can't be arsed selling/buying wheels...I'd imagine the market for 19" ford galaxy/smax wheels is pretty small.
