Seems Meguiars are not making Gold Class wax anymore. No longer listed on their site and da yoof in Halfords told me there's no more in like stock innit.

Any suggestions what to replace it with? It really worked well on my dark red metalic paint - especially if used as the wax stage over the step 2 polish and step 1 paint cleaner.

Over to you chaps thumbup

Looking at the Meguiars website it would seem it may have been replaced with their "Ultimate" liquid Wax, which gets good reviews.
I find the results with the NXT Tech Wax as good as gold class, though it doesn't seem quite as durable. Just as easy to apply though.

Budget not so much of a problem - I've found more or less the more expensive polishes last so much longer that they are actually better value. What I want is the lovely warm deep, almost liquid glow I've got in the past on my Carnival red paint. That means another Carnuba wax I think as petroleum based polishes like SRP and Extra Gloss seem to give a very cold, hard shine and don't cover the minor stone chips I have anywhere near as well as the Meguiars step 1 & 2 and finish with off with Gold Class I've been happy with.

Then i would say, get yourself a bottle of swissvax cleaner fluid to prep the paint and then a poy of best of show. One of the best waxes out there and will give you the look youre after. Plus the pot will last you years.

Steve, you may want to look at Bilt Hamber Auto Balm, but if the beading characteristic of typical carnuaba waxes is more desirable, then Finis Wax or Meg's #16 Mirror Glaze would be alternatives.

I rate R222/P21S concours look (same product different names, depending on country) best used over the bodywork cleanser that goes with it.

It's a step below the Swissvax waxes in price (and I'd imagine quality).

AutoGlym HD Wax, there was a group test on Detailing World (Which appears to be dead as a dodo?) and it was still hanging in there against the much more expensive stuff 6+ months after application. Can get it for £25 on Amazon and the pot will likely outlive the car even if you wax every month!

Great shine too, best used on a well prepared surface (Such as over Super Resin Polish on fresh clayed paintwork).

This. I use Purple Haze on the Tuscan (Reflex Purple) and the Outback (Metallic Mid/darkish blue) and the Audi (Daytona Grey). Its great stuff, very easy to apply and polish off and gives a deep gloss. They do other waxes for different colour cars. TBH its not ideal on the Audi but its OK. I also use it on wheels.

IMO as good a swissvax and zaimol for a lot less £££'s

I am in the lucky position to get a few samples sent now and then from alot of different detailing and valeting company's over the working year , the last being The AF products .

The Kds staff (i have yet to use it) have all been impressed with the products , tried on different cars by different staff and always good comments
