Definitely arguments for and against.

I had a set fitted to my wifes BMW. It has 19" Alloys and in 18mths they have saved every single one from kerb damage. They came with a tool that cleans up the edges when scuffed so they can still look tidy.

The front ones work 'loose' and require a bang back in with a rubber mallet. This, apparently is caused by the run flat tire walls being stiff and flexing when cornering and going round roundabouts, I'd say I hammer up back in tight once every 3 mths or so and car does 10k per annum.

They don't look brilliant. But I can live with them for the money they have saved in repairs. The rears have stayed solidly fitted. Can't comment on the water trapping / corrosion issue as they haven't been taken off yet. I do know someone who had one front one come off a set of 20" RR alloys and dent the wing. But on inspection you could see they were having the same issue as mine.

I have a dealer freind for a main franchise that fits them to ALL courtesy and demo cars, saves him a mint! They havre to be fitted properly for sure.
