Smoothing touched up chips

I've recently purchased a front bumper decal set for my Alpina so it will look like this:



It currently looks like this:



The issue is that I've touched up some stone chips on the front so the finish isn't smooth. Can anyone recommend a product I can use to flatten down the chips before applying the decals?

Although I've not tried it myself (yet), there is a product called Langka, which can be used to remove the blobs from a touch-up.

You'll be fine using a decent polish. I've only recently done the same kind of job on both my girlfriend's Fiesta and also my neighbours Golf GTI.
