I've read some pretty epic threads recently about hypercars that have been detailed. Whether it's a Veyron or an original 911 RS, what would be your ultimate car you'd wish to detail - to get looking as perfect as it possibly could?

An Enzo? A CGT? Or something obscure like a Citroen DS or an E30 3-series?

You're only allowed one choice, but you must explain why biggrin

Vintage Bentley something like Brian Johnson's "Thunder Guts"

So many angles and bits to "get into" and clean

And those lovely BIG shineeeey headlights to polish!

BMW 507 or a M-B 280 SE from the early 1970's. Chrome and acres of quality paint. A Ferrari 288 GTO would be good as would a 1960's Lincoln.

simples

if we are talking about best look for the ultimate detailing then it would have to be.

solid black fully wet sanded and perfect machined polished old skool

VW Bettle , got perfect curves and flat doors , then has tricky thin pillars and the cooling vents on boot lid (well engine cover) and chrome trim to finish it off .

the doors could look like this

and the wings like this

you get the idea , not a proper smooth curve but close its from this car

of course a old skool 911 , AC cobra , even late Tvr's have great shapes to show off perfect flat paint and give the best effect with strong pearl colours

Personally I'd nominate something like a really tired looking Lotus Elise, perhaps in black, with about 110k miles.

Come to think of it, how about a white Exige S?
