Bugger - Hospepie ban.
Discussion
Having a week off work next week I was looking to spend a day washing, polishing and waxing my car. However, it has today been announced there is a hospepipe ban in my area, being a law abiding citizen that I am this scuppers my plans, any way around it?
Yes, I know I can still use the hosepipe but knowing my luck....etc etc.

Go to a local do-it-yourself car wash (uses recycled water iirc) and use the jet washer only for the arches, sills and grimiest areas. Then take it home and rinse again with a watering can and wash as usual.
Watering cans are actually quite good at cleaning of suds as it sheets nicely.

So you wouldn't give the whole car a quick once over, just standing further away to ruduce the pressure? I don't have a hose at my place, so this is what i've been doing before using 2 bucket then watering can rinse.Watering cans are actually quite good at cleaning of suds as it sheets nicely.

I would use it all over, yes.My post was poorly constructed - when I said jet wash only (didn't even get the tags right lol) what I meant was use the jet wash only and NOT the foaming broom / brush thing.
