Had my car one year now and 20,000k's and am keen to get stuck in to it on the basis of keeping it box fresh for the next 3-4 years.

For reference, it's only 18 mths old, black with black leather, bought with 7000 KM's now on 28,000km's and so is new enough to be put back to mint. In addition I use it for work so it's no garage queen so will be cleaning maybe once per month but want to put effort in when done.

To now I've just washed, polished, wheel cleaned and faced. Now I want to the paint smooth, buffed and protected. The leather is starting to crease a bit so want to get that back in order and supple and the engine bay is becoming grimier.

So what do I definitely need to buy (product tips very welcome)?
What order is recommended?
Any top tips?
And do I buy one of those power buffing drill machine thingymebobs?

Cheers for your suggestions!

I'd recommend having a look at the detailing world forums here.

There are also two suppliers based in Australia here and here that I have seen on the DW world forums. My wallet is a hell of a lot lighter since looking at that forum!

Good Luck!
