My Miele hoover has started playing up, it turns on but will turn off after 20 seconds or less, then have to keep turning it on everytime it turns off, very annoying.
Also wondering if there are any handy car cleaning accessorys that make life easier.

Oooh Yes.

As I discovered today, the only logical way to clear expired bugs from the inside of a Cayenne headlamp (how the fk did they get in there in the first place?!) is to use your standard home hoover. Attach a piece of hosepipe with a handy piece of bodge tape (gaffer tape - call it what you will), then having removed the light unit, take out one of the bulbs - Shove the hose through the little hole and turn the hoover on and waggle ya pipe around! wink

Hey presto - no unsightly bugs in my headlamp bowtie

Hasnt really answered your question though has it...

As long as you have a hoover where you can detach a pipe to get into the nooks and crannies (ie not a standard upright hoover) - getting inventive with various stuff laying round the garage should see you right. I also find using an old tooth brush to flick any debris towards the hoover pipe works a treat.

I use the small 't-shaped' attachment (probably intended for curtains etc) as my 'carpet' accessory in the car, and the smaller wedge shaped attachment to get into the door pockets and as far down the side of the seats as it will go.

Im sure someone will be along to point out that there is an ideal vacuum cleaner available that has all the gadgets and gizmos built in! wink

Yes I hope there's a nice ready made kit, else I'm just wasting so much time getting into the tough spots.

if you have a Dyson they do a car cleaning 'kit' - and its very good - different nozzles and mini 'roller' head

quite expensive but it does what it says on the box!

I have a Miele accessory. It's the carpet cleaner with the rotating brushes. It's about one third of the width of the one you would use in the house.
