Cloth headlining cleaner
Discussion
Hi everyone, I could do with cleaning the headlining on my ep2 civic, I don't have any of the VIF foam, but I do have some 'CarPlan Interior Valet Carpet and Upholstry cleaner' (http://www.carplan.co.uk/index.cfm?product=93), it didn't do a bad job of my seats and carpets, but I don't know if it would be suitable for my headlining.
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

If you want to remove grease / oil stains from a fabric headlining or similar, one of the best products you can use is brake cleaner. It tends to be a pure solvent and just lifts out the greasy marks. I learned about this when I visited a company that made headliners for the car manufactures. The light coloured headliners would often pick up greasy fingerprints and the like from the hands of the operators. In each area was a can of brake cleaner and a clean cloth.
I have tried it on my own car- works a treat.
