How easy to restore? Is it a case of getting it mopped? What sort of money would I be looking at?

£130 for a basic machine polish and wax.

Awaits arrival of knowledgeable detailers.

No different to a normal steel panel?

Heat build up can cause blistering, but otherwise no not really any different to metal panels.

But if it is gelcoat instead of paint, then it is quite hard work to polish but less chance of break through.

+1

Get a good local detailer to give it a good mop, will bring the colour back. I wouldnt recommend doing it yourself for the above reasons smile

If it's oxidised gel coat then you'll probably need to break out the wet and dry; it will take many hours to cut it back just with a machine polisher otherwise.

I have just completed an enhancement on an LSIS, if you want some help, hints & tips drop me an email.

With GRP you do need to be aware of defects within the gel coat, heat and which compound etc works best.

As said if you need any advice just ask.
