Have got quite a nice mix of products on the shelf but need a wax.

Car is a Tuscan, colour is metallic blue (Viper GTS Blue).

Quite fancy some Dodo Juice because a) it's British and b) I'm drawn in by the marketing hype and feel that buying there products will make me a hip surfer type.

Suggestions?

Any purple haze users out there? hippy

It's not British but how about Natty's Blue,
It quite reasonable at only £12 a tub and its ideal for dark metallic paints and easy to apply also it smells of bubblegum.
I wouldn't use anything else have a look online at the reviews.

Also I bought myself some poorboys black hole glaze to give the paint more depth and that's also a good product and it smells of grapes.
What's good about the nattys blue and black hole is it gets rid of minor scratches without removing any paint.

Not up to speed on glazes. Do you use that straight after wax to protect the wax or in between polishes/waxes because of the fillers in it?

P21S wax, I think it might have been rebranded as R222 now, a white/clear carnauba wax that gives a really deep shine imhe, reasonably priced if I recall too.

The glaze goes on before the wax as the wax seals in the glaze, but apparently you can put black hole glaze straight on top of natty's blue wax then reseal it with the natty's blue as the products are designed to work together.
The more you use it the more depth the paint gets.

Ah, makes sense, so the glaze has fillers which you then protect with a wax.

I like Poorboys stuff. I see they do a sealant too, presumably goes on after the wax?

I've never really used Dodo juice so can't comment but someone showed me the Poor boy products a little while ago and I haven't looked back since.

The black hole glaze works a treat and for wax I use Natty's Paste wax. By far the easiest wax to put on and buff off. Also gives it a brilliant shine. It beads for a lot longer then others I have used before too. (admittedly they were ones such as Autoglym & TurtleWax)

I use R222 pre wax cleanser and concours look carnuba wax and think it is fantastic.Very easy to use as it doesn't set hard and chalk and gives one of the best wet look shines possible.Under £30 a pot and doesn't smell of much at all.

Collinite 476s. Brilliant stuff.

Though only use it pannel by pannel mind.

I learnt that the hard way. It dries on VERY hard, I blistered my hands up a treat spending a few hours getting the bloody stuff off!
