Bought a pretty tired looking Ka, which I'm fixing up to give to my little Brother. Managed to get some life back into the paintwork, but don't know how to proceed with the bumpers.

Anything I can do with this scuff?

Plasticare - however, although it will work on smaller or narrower areas, apparently it's a bit difficult to get an even coverage on large areas. But it would definitely re-stain back to a dark grey or black depending on which Plasticare colour you choose.

Hairdryer can work but can also do a lot of damage. Peanut oil or Autofinesse Revive

Try Carplan Black Trim Wax. Costs a fiver from Halfords. Just tried it on my Cooper S faded plastics and they have come up well.

Will give them another coat over the weekend.

Lots of people swear by peanut butter, handy if you've got any left over in the cupboard ....... Don't use the crunchy stuff though... lol!

I had a Clio and I wanted to restore the plastic on the bumpers. I simply brought some plastic primer and sprayed the bumpers and sprayed them black and applied some lacquer.

Or you could buy a high quality black to black. AutoBright do a very good one that I would recommend.
A little bit of sanding would get that scuff right out :-)

Why don't you give Megs ultimate black plastic restorer a go?

It seems to have worked well for this guy: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-review...

A detailer friend of mine told me white vinegar works well? Not tried it yet.
