Any recommendations for a pressure washer and snow foaming kit?

Seems to be a massive range of washers from £80 to £300 so not really sure what I need?

Nilfisk or Karcher?

Is running a pressure washer off a water butt a bad idea? Assuming there's some sort of in line filter?

There usually is a filter. Halfords do a good range. They're regularly discounted too. I had one for 5 years when it failed. A brass component fractured, probably due to me keeping it too close to the garage door & the frost ruptured it. Halfords agreed to replace the unit with a reconditioned one for £35. The repacement arrived within a week & it was a brand new unit! Full credit to Halfords.

More than happy with my Nilfisk E140 and Autobrite snow foam lance (detailingworld group buy - Deal 4 -www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=206996)

E140 was on offer on amazon for £174

Upgraded the hose, lance and nossle from QWashers - sold the stock ones on Ebay for almost as much lol

More than I'll ever need to be honest.

Karcher do a snow foam attachment which in not expensive as we have just started to sell them throw work just waiting on sample unit arriving so we can try it, and a basic Karcher washer from Halfords or B&Q should be less than £100

I ended up with a small Kaercher and an eBay snow foam lance (the one that came with it was crap). Pretty pleased with it.

Runs really well off the water butt and doesn't use as much as I expected.

Just want to check what people are doing with this as a process now.
I have the snow foam lance and snow foam detergent, but i also have the original lance supplied with my Nilfisk which can be used for Car Combi detergent.
Are you just snow foaming, rinsing and then drying ?
Or would it be a good idea to snow foam, rinse wash/wax detergent or the car combi and then finally rinse and dry.
I understand that snow foam is a pre wash but if its so good why not just rinse and dry ?

Snow foam will loosen the dirt but a proper wash will still be required for good results as the foam wont remove stubborn grime.
