Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

I have some leftover sticky residue on my windscreen and dashboard from some 3m double sided foam pads. I've tried various cleaning products but none of them remove the residue.

Can anyone advise what to use? I'm guessing I'll have to use a less harsh product on the dash so that it doesn't stain or fade the plastic?

Cheers

Malt whisky. Blended won't touch it, trust me.

This.

The Sticky Stuff Remover is excellent.

Check the reviews on Amazon.

I often use lighter fluid (Ronson etc) for sticky residue although don't get it on plastic or rubber.

Something with orange oil in it.
If it smells like oranges, it'll do the trick.

Lynx Africa

Not kidding, I guess it must contain alcohol?

Possibly tricky to limit application as it's a spray...

Try baby wipes first - seriously.

Well in the end I went with white spirit. Worked a treat after it had soaked in. It didn't leave any stains or marks on the dash either. I tried to get the de-solv-it from Halfords, my local was showing as 4 in stock. They couldn't find any on the shelves or in the back so they just assumed they had been stolen(!)
