Pattern Maker?
Discussion
I've started making my own pattern.. never done it before, but followed some video tutorials by Easy Composites on YouTube and found enough info to get started.
It's actually not so bad, but it is a lot of time consuming work!

I made mine by creating a skeleton frame from PVC foam board, then in-filling with polyurethane foam core. The plus of doing this is that you can get it completely symmetrical, but I needed to accurately position ducts etc. If yours is a simple valance then you could probably make the pattern from PU foam core and use templates to check shape and symmetry side-to-side.
Foam is expensive, though.. so give it a go if you don't mind forking out! There's no reason it can't be done if you prepare for it carefully and take your time.
