So my POS ford focus decided it no longer needed its hand brake and rolled off my rather steep drive, over the road and into some grumpy old bd's Mitsubishi GTO.

Here's the damage.

So from my limited knowledge I think the bumper, and light can be saved, leaving only the panel and the trim above the light to be repaired and replaced.

It has bent the support behind the panel slightly, so assuming this can be pulled back out.

Never had a crash before so don't have the foggiest how much its likely to cost and I don't want to put it through insurance as I've only just got to 5 years no claims and they will bend me over.

Any ideas how much would be reasonable for this sort of repair?

Depends a bit on what the owner of the GTO wants and the availability/cost of the panel to be replaced. A cheapish job £500 but this could go up to £1000.

Rest of car is fecked and scuffed so I'm assuming a pristine finish isn't required. Thanks for the estimates, hoping its more towards the 500 mark frown

My guesstimate would be 900 quid for a good job.

owner got an estimate of £275, nearly tore his hand off at that price, was fearing a lot worse

The bit with the chunk missing is actually a small plastic trim piece for that corner so part price on that was 15 quid, then the rest is to pull the panel out and paint.
