Toyota Landcruiser 100 Bumper Paint Code

Hi,

I need the paint code for a 1999 Land cruiser Amazon 100 bumper, it is a dark grey metallic the paint code for the body is clearly marked on the VIN plate but nothing for the bumpers.

What colour code have you got for the body?

Let us know the paint code & that will often be enough to see what bumper colour was used in conjunction with the body colour. May be more than one though!
You could speak to a franchised dealer's parts dept. They will need either the reg or the VIN so have both to hand. I often do this if I can't locate a paint code - Mazda don't put them on - or am uncertain as which colour it is. Had the latter yesterday with a KA. Code pointed to either Moondust or Moonlight. Colour swatches for both inconclusive so a quick phone call to Sandicliffe parts dept solved the problem as it pulls up the original build spec.

Entering the details of the vehicle you give come up with:
1D2 Grey - metallic/pearl
UCA78 Dark Taupe - metallic
UCA76 Medium Grey- metallic/pearl

Needs swatch comparison - or a call to the parts dept as already suggested.

8L4 comes up as 'Dark Blue'- metallic/pearl.

8L4 = Dark Blue.
Associated Parts (Bumper) UCA31, UA31 = Dark Grey.

Also checked an old - 2005 - DuPont Colour Index (the thick book used with the microfiche before it all went CD)and in Toyota Bumper colours 8L4 comes up as a metallic bumper colour in addition to a body colour. Appears to be Land Cruiser specific & called 'Dark Grey'. Doesn't seem to come up in other systems - or current online DuPont.

Toyota came back after a few days with UCA76 as the correct code, thanks for everyone's input.
