Anyone got any advice on how to tidy scuff marks and scratches on those plastic panels that trim the inner sill and door opening? They always seem to get kicked and scratched by people's shoes and those in my Porsche are particularly scuffed.

New ones if they are really bad.

Maybe put some 3M protective tape on them and replace when necessary.

Never tried this myself but I've seen a few people mention carefully using a heat gun to reduce their appearance. Got one on the swift that I'll give it a go on soon.

I wondered about smoothing off the scratches with an finger nail emery board and then using some interior dressing?

Might be a little too abrasive to be honest. Could start with some 3000 grit used with water and fairy liquid for a nice fine finish and see that happens. Always best to start with the least aggressive methods and work up if needed.
