I wonder if this stuff also makes my wiper blades noisy.. I seem to get squeaky wipers very quickly and have tried a couple of different brands and I can't help but think it's something the. Car cleaners use.
By the way I'm talking 'hand car wash' not 'valeters' Shock! Horror!

Autoglym glass polish has worked for me in the past as has neat Fairy Liquid rubbed in with a knitted cotton dishcloth and then rinsed off with warm water.
The same dishcloth, just dampened with water, is also great for removing bugs from glass and paintwork.

If it's the same stuff I have come across you will struggle. Take it to a local windscreen company and ask them to use their silicone decontamination cleaner (Sika betabrade or the likes). If that doesn't work get busy with the G3 on a mop. that WILL work but it's hard work.

No disrespect intended but I don't think some of the posters here fully understand what you are trying to remove if it's the same thing I saw.

It is quite amazing how these £5 a time chaps can rinse a car and then apply some sort of magic stuff that makes the car look amazing ...... until you realise grit and road film sticks to it and wipers smear across the screen.
Cheap is what cheap is!

What amazes me more is that they seem able to cause all sorts of issues, but then their clientele don't go back and get them to sort it out. I also wonder if they have any kind of insurance other than covering their basic liabilities...
