I need to get some waxoil or similar product on the underside, behind the wheel arch covers and in all the nooks and crannies of the Land Cruiser before the salt hits the road.

Two questions what is the best product to use and does it has to be bone dry before application?

I was intending to jet wash the crud of underneath and behind the wheel liners and wondered if it had to be totally dry before application, will the water be expelled or held under coating?

I like Bilt Hamber Dynax UB, comes in a tin to paint on and an aerosol with a long flexible nozzle for squirting into cavities.

Personally I wouldn't use a jetwash, I've found it can lft paint and stuff. I just hose it off really well, maybe an alloy wheel brush for tougher crud and a wire brush for bare metal with loose rust.

It's best to do it when the weathers warmer or in a decent heated garage, it's easier to apply warm. Now it's autumn things rarely dry out properly, you don't want to trap moisture in.

Oh and wear some really old kitbiglaugh you don't mind throwing away.
