Typically cleaning the car for me involves buckets, sponges and mitt, using autoglym shampoo and the occasional super resin polish and once a year HD cleanse and wax all by hand.

I have recently acquired a karcher pressure washer (it came with the garage of the house we are renting) . and I wonder if snowfoaming might be an improvement on the start of my washing ritual.

Any thoughts/tips or recommendations on products? I have just read that bilthamber products scored well in an auto express test

I've recently started snow foaming - I recently inherited a pressure washer too. It is ideal at this time of year when the roads are covered in crap as it lets you get most of the dirt off before starting your usual wash routine.

A pressure washer will help reduce the amount of wash mitt contact you need to clean the car & help loosen the bigger pieces of dirt & also cleaning the arches etc. The snow foam adds to the equation as a pre wash stage although I've gone one stage further as I've been given a large container if Traffic Film Remover which either added to the snow foam or diluted and sprayed on before the snow foam really aids removing the crud at this time of yr - just make sure the pressure washer is kept warm & away from the frost as it can knacker them in a blink thumbup
