One of the benefits of living outside the UK is the cost of labour being significantly less here! The car is going into a local workshop who specialist in detailing and high end wrapping. Over the last year they have been importing Ceramic Pro materials and I've just had a good chat with them about its performance. I expect most of the detailers here here already know about it.

It will be there a week, where they will perform the following work:-

- Interior out, front cream leather sent away for professional re-spray and refurbished back to as good as 45k miles will allow
- Door trims fixed (Where the elbow goes, it rubs away)
- Full interior protection with Ceramic pro plastics, glass and leather/carpet
- Exterior will be coated in 3 or 5 (haven't decided yet) coats of 9H along with 3-4 coats of pro polish and sport
- Wheels coated with 9H + pro
- Windows coated with specific glass/anti water ceramic product

Car goes in on the 23rd, pick it up again when I return from the UK on the 3rd. Will keep this post updated in case anyone else decides to take the plunge!

When it's dirty, much easier to clean

Just got the car back. Car looks better than when it came from the factory. 3 year warranty on the coating (should last the life of the car). Washing is now super simple, only water needed, and won't need to polish it for years!

Work completed:
3-stage detail and polish, 2 days work - removed 99% of paint defects, swirl marks and scratches
2 coats of Ceramic PRO 9H
2 coats of Ceramic PRO Light
2 coats of Ceramic PRO Rain on the glass

Wheels:
Ceramic PRO Strong + Ceramic PRO Light

Interior:
Interior chemically cleaned
Seats removed
Leather fed twice, cleaned, resprayed back to factory colour
Protected with Ceramic Pro for Leather

Result:

None of the interior yet

I guess it's what you deem expensive... initially you might think so. 6000kn (which was a good price), that is around £650. However, it was being worked on for a week, plus this included the seat refurb. When you consider all the work that was done, I wouldn't want to do it for that price. To demonstrate the level of protection, you can even pour petrol on the paintwork and set fire to it - after it has burned off, there wouldn't be any paintwork damage (obviously the car could catch on fire - but the point is to demonstrate the protection) - off the top of my head, it protects to 650-800c. Light scratches, small stones, people brushing past with zips and bags, won't damage it. It can even protect against keys (up to a point).

2 years ago I had a chap fully detail the car and polish - within a few months I was back where I started. This is guaranteed for 3 years and will probably last a life time. All the highend dealers are having their new cars prepped this way over here now. Interestingly the company who sell the products used on this car don't have a dealer network in the UK yet, it's EU only (so far as I can see on their website). The company comes from a background in industrial, boat and plane paint protection.

It always has the "wet" look, which is amazing - similar to the very highend show products you may have seen, which are mega expensive bees wax. However, this won't rub off wink

They do have a couple of applicators/stockists in the UK, as I am one of them. Guess they haven't updated there website yet.

I'm in agreement here, the ceramic pro 9h is untouchable for protection levels and the added gloss you get.....
Unfortunately it's not easy to apply, as it has a very short curing times meaning you have to section the application and yes it's expensive but very worth it.
