Sorry folks, I saw a thread last week regarding the best wheel cleaner on here but for the life of me I cannot find it now, anyone help or recommend a product.

Currently using the Autoglym stuff which does work well but you have to work quick so wondered what everyone else is using.

Bilt Hamber (British made despite the funny sounding name) do some great products.

While I've not used their Auto Wheel product it seems to get good reviews.

Either Bilt Hamber or Valet Pro Dragons Breath are the top two today...closely followed by Car Pro Iron X. However don't fogey to wax your wheels after cleaning as this helps to keep them clean when washed next time and free from road grime when rinsed.

If they are really dirty and covered in baked on brake dust use IronX. Brilliant stuff, especially for the lazy car washer.

Indeed, I always ask my fogey to wax the wheels after washing them but sometimes he forgets.

Yeah I used to use this all the time in the UK.

Never tried the Bilt and Hammer stuff unfortunately.

I use IronX for an initial clean, then wax the wheels and only need normal shampoo to clean them afterwards.

Ive been using Autofinesse mint rims wax, not that expensive and seems good stuff, although a bit softer than expected for a wheel wax.

Although combined with a decent sealant seems to last a while.

Rimwax works for me but make sure your cleaner isn't acidic or alkaline or it will be stripped. IronX etc is too strong to be used on a regular basis. Bilberry, fairly diluted, & whe rimes stay waxed for months.
