I saw this company when surfing the other day. Thx.http://www.cfsnet.co.uk
I was hoping to get a recommendation from someone who has used the stuff, or who is in the trade.

Huntsman and Mouldlife are companies we use when wet laminating, they supply a vast amount of resins and gel coats Be worth contacting them.
For glass give Fothergill engineered fabrics a shout. Pretty sure they do chopped strand in the weights that you should need.

Yes the David's stuff from factors/halfords is both st, excessively brittle and massively overpriced.
Epoxy resin is much nicer to use as it doesn't stink to high heaven like polyester, but it is around three times the price. There are various grade of all types of resin (polyester/vinylester/epoxy) and which one you choose depends on what properties you need the end product to have - structural/comsmetic/high heat environment etc
Thanks for the recommendation. I've had a quick look at their website and there's a lot to choose from Yes the David's stuff from factors/halfords is both st, excessively brittle and massively overpriced.

The properties I'm after are mostly cosmetic, as it's cracks in the top gel coat from where the body has flexed after a minor bump front and rear from the previous owner.
But will also need a small amount of structural repair materials for a crack in the back bumper and missing gel coat.
There are so many types of chopped matt and resin though. It's a bit of a minefield.
