I washed the car the other day and was caught out by the sun. I should have just stopped, but tried to keep the car wet. I rinsed the car and dried it, but then I had to rush out.

So the next day I used some Autoglym Super Resin Polish and this removed some, but not all water marks.

Should I keep trying and be patient? Or anything else to try that's better than SRP?

I've read about white vinegar mixed with water.

Thanks.

Vinegar on a microfibre is worth a go, if this doesn't work Carpro Spotless is pretty good.

I'd also recommend a DI resin vessel plumbed in before your pressure washer = no more water spots!

Thanks for the answers. With the vingegar and microfibre is it a case of wet surface with water and then a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water in a small bowl?

it doesn't have to be exact but 50:50 a good starting point.
Wash/dry as you would normally then gently does it with a microfibre dipped in a bowl if you don't have a spray bottle to hand.

Wash the car again that process sometimes does the trick. Also use a water purifier and you get no spots smile

Using rain water (pressure washer running off a water butt) is a good way to avoid water spots in the future.

Great product for removing these is Nanolex Final finish. It works even on black finishes that have been basking in red hot sun. Amazing stuff.

Buy yourself a DI Vessel.

After 2 years of cleaning 3 black cars, I finally cracked this last week and bought a 15L DI vessel to filter the hosepipe.

Washed my FFRR and the boy's Corsa today.... fecking wonderful finish... not a streak, smudge or mark in sight. biggrin

Not single remnant of water marking left on the paint, even the top of the bonnet was like glass once the water had dried off.

No more trying to keep the car wet so I can blade it and dry it before the water spots form. smile

I was dubious that these would work, but my word, worth every penny.
