paint and lacquer brushes

Filled in a chip in my car with these paint colour and lacquer brushes (apply it like what you do with tipex). Ive put too much of the clear lacquer on though and its left a gooey mark. What could I use to remove the lacquer without damaging the surrounding paint?

You are going to have to carefully wet-sand the excess clear down to the level of the surrounding clear and then polish.
Not too difficult but it's scary to take abrasive paper to your cars paint if you have never done it before.
Alternatively a Chipsaway type person could sort it in minutes.
