Guys i was polishing the car today when i saw some streaks in the polish, turns out something had got on my pad and left about four hair line scratches on the paint.
question is will a machine polish from a detailer take these out ? My autoglm resin polish will not.
Thanks from someone very pissed off.

The generally accepted rule is that if you can feel the scratch when you run a finger nail over it, it may be too deep to just polish out and may need to be touched in.

You would only be able to polish the lightest of scratches out by hand. You'll have much better success with a machine polisher and proper polish

Autoglym SRP is more filler than polish. Try something like GTechniq P1 (which can easily remove 1500 grit marks by hand) and you'll likely find that they come out without problem.

This. I tried to polish out some very shallow grazing by hand recently - I used an abrasive cutting compound on a sponge polishing pad and despite the elbow grease, it did practically nothing. Out came the dual action polisher and 20 seconds later the scratches were basically invisible.
