Hi all, As the title would suggest, I am looking for a recommendation on a detailer in the SE of London.

I've never had a car detailed before but having bought a brand new car in October, decided I want to get it sorted so it stays looking nice and thought this would be the place to ask for recommendations?

Cheers

Mark

If it is a brand new car, why would it need to be detailed? The paint should be flawless with no swivel mark.

A good clay and then a good hard wax should seal the surface. You should not need to polish or do anything abrasive at all, should you?

I personally have never seen a new car that's been anything remotely close to perfect.

Most dealer prep is very poor and in itself leads to paint defects, swirls, holograms and buffer trails are all commonplace.

I'd also not clay a car without at least a single stage of machine polishing (Especially if it's a dark colour. Silver's and light colours you may get away with not leaving marring, but anything dark will again show marring that even a light claybar will leave behind)

KDS Keltec are down in Kent so not far from you. And in my eyes one of the top three detailers in the country.

Thanks for the replies guys, it is a dark metallic grey and it looks good when cleaned up but I want to make it look perfect, and do what I can to keep it that way. I'll check out the recommendations over the weekend.
