Rear View Mirror

The rear view mirror on my Jag XK8 keeps falling off. It is one of ones that is glued to the windscreen. A round metal 'donut' is glued to the screen and the whole mirror unit is clipped onto it. The problem is what glue to use to fix the donut to the screen? I have tried most off the shelf products but none of them are strong enough.
