In short, yes it does.

I've always been a bit like yourself I guess. As a Pro detailer I've never been a fan of the stuff in previous years as the finish was never that great and if it wasn't looked after properly it would look pretty pants. However, having seen and worked with the latest stuff quite alot I'm completely converted and its seriously impressive what the good films can do, there's lots of good examples on Youtube and not just from the manufacturers pushing their own films.

It is amazing stuff! Had my car done twelve months ago and still looks as good as new. Quick gentle blast with a hot power washer using de-ionised and it gleams
