Chaps,

Looking for some advice regarding prepping and painting an engine bay.

It's stripped completely, cleaned and some work has started - ie any small areas of surface rust have been grind back and then it was roughly primed on the bare metal and left for a long time but now I'm back on the case.

It doesn't have to be a finish akin to glass - but I'm now lost in world of rust treatments, primers and paints and struggling.

I'll rub it back to bare metal where required and then key any old (good) paint, treat any bare areas that have been rusty and then I need to prime it and put a top coat on.

Rubbing back... good old sand paper or one of those fibre wheels on the grinder... or wire brush attachment for the intricate areas?

Primer... zinc based or any recommendations?

Cheers in advance
