I have spoken to some OPCs and none recommend having PPF put on. A few even tell me hour stories about paint coming off.

No installer (film/ installer) will guarantee the paint underneath to be perfect if removed after a few years (and will the guarantee be worth anything?)

why? I have been considering putting on PPF but have been talked out of it by numerous people on account of the possible damage to the underlying paint and the horrid finishing of some PPF/installers. Let's face it. film can NEVER be as good as paint.

None of the installers can be 100% certain about the quality of paint in the car, hence the risk.

Have you had an operation lately?

so the dealers blame the film and the installers blame the car's paint. In the end , the owner takes the risk himself. I see.

That's about it. Get a decent recommendation for a fitter and you should be ok.

Take the car to Paintshield in Peterborough. They are the best in the country at what they do and have done countless Porsches.
